Overview...Summit School District is nestled in the heart of the beautiful Colorado Rocky Mountains.  We cover approximately 516 square miles of mountainous terrain in the central Colorado Rockies where students, families and staff alike find great opportunities for outdoor adventures!

Summit School District believes that a caring, highly qualified, well-trained and dedicated staff is a key component to accomplishing our goal of “Developing Caring Learners in the 21st Century.Therefore, Summit School District has committed extraordinary resources to ensuring that we place the best possible staff in our District and we are pleased that you have completed our on-line application as the first step in joining our team.

Serving more than 3,300 students, our aim is to develop internationally minded people who help to create a better world.  We believe in open communication with our stakeholders,appreciate community input and strive for continued confidence from our patrons in the quality educational programming that we offer as we strategically focus resources on improving student learning.  

For the first time in 2014-2015, Summit School District earned the highest accreditation rating possible from the Colorado Department of Education, Accredited with Distinction, based on our impressive student achievement, graduation rate, dropout rate and ACT scores.  Summit School District is currently ranked 16 out of 178 school districts in the state.
