Essential Functions:
Teaching and helping students communicate and understand the Spanish foreign language.
Develop and implement curriculum to encourage students to practice vocabularies learned and assist students in accurately listening, speaking, writing and reading in Spanish language.
Techniques such as role-playing, dialogue, language games, literature, film, and other formal exercises used in teaching Spanish language.
Create a positive student learning environment.
Assess student performance through formative and summative assessments and general observation.
Collaboration with the World Language Department in areas of communication, planning, sharing of materials and ideas, and support of departmental projects
Evidence of successful development of relevance between subject matter and application
Participation in Professional Learning Communities
Qualifications
Must hold a valid Colorado teaching license or authorization.
Must meet content-area qualifications, which could include the appropriate license endorsement, degree in the content area, Colorado State Board of Education-approved content exam, or 36 credit hours as determined by the district.
