Job Description

Primary Role and Purpose  

The Behavior Intervention Specialist, under the supervision of the Assistant Principal, will work as support overseeing all behavior related aspects across campuses.  This individual is to provide appropriate encouragement to all students as well as consequences in accordance with NFCS Student Code of Conduct. 



Bachelor degree from an accredited school 

Master's Degree preferred



·        Capable of instructing students and managing their behavior

·        Exceptional organizational, communication and interpersonal skills



·        Minimum of 2 years’ experience

·        Mental Health Associate experience preferred


Responsibilities and Duties                              




·          Establish communication rapport with parents, students, principals and teachers through conferences

·          Create and maintain a professional relationship with colleagues, students, parents and community members

·          Present information accurately through clear communication skills



·          Enrich job skills through professional development activities



·             Ensure confidentiality


Job Related Conditions and Duties  

·             Maintain control in stressful situations

·             Be a member of discipline committee meetings

·             Additional duties may also be required on an as needed basis

·             Extended hours may be required 

Additional Information


·        Paraprofessional Certification is preferred

  • Masters Degree preferred

  • $42,000 Salary
