Job Description
Are you looking for an excellent opportunity to grow professionally and to positively impact the achievement levels of a large number of students?  The School District of Osceola County is looking for outstanding teachers to become instructional leaders as school-based Literacy Coaches. School Literacy Coaches are resource teachers who work hand-in-hand with teachers and principals to promote quality literacy instruction in schools.  As a school Literacy Coach, you will have the opportunity to grow as an educator, build relationships through mentoring teachers, and impact the education of all students in a school. 
Additional Information
The first step to become a school Literacy Coach is to enter the district K-12 Literacy Coach pool.  To be considered for entry, you must apply for the pool and meet the following minimum requirements:

  1. Valid Florida Educator’s temporary or professional certification
  2. Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  3. Be endorsed or certified in reading, or working towards endorsement or certification
  4. Minimum of three years successful teaching experience in reading instruction

Once you meet the minimum requirements, you can apply to the pool via this job posting.  To apply, you  must do the following in Teacher Match:

  1. Submit your Portfolio (which is your application)
  2. Answer all Qualifying Questions
  3. Complete the EPI (Educator's Professional Inventory)
